Last night I finally got around to watching  Rise of the Planet of the Apes.   I've always loved Planet of the Apes movies. This one was pretty good. Apes are much more realistic these days. Today, I went to the library to work with my friend Stephanie. Got new labeling up on the shelves and some of the new theme up. So this year's theme:

I finished Argo this week. Excellent story. Very good and quick read. I got distracted some by all the back stories. Most did seem integral to the story but certainly not all (and there were soooo many). I learned some things about embassies, the CIA, the United States and Canada that I didn't know before. I've got the movie on my to-watch list now. Anxious to see how they compare/contrast.

I put off reading The Hunger Games forever. Them never being in the library had something to do with that. One day, I realized they were all in and there were no holds on any of them. I grabbed them. Easy read, very engaging. Although by reading them all at once I was growing slightly bored by the end. The movie arrived on Netflix, so I watched it yesterday afternoon. Not nearly as engaging as the books, but good enough I didn't walk out of the room to go do something else in the middle of it.

We also went to see Tron: Legacy last night. It was pretty good. I was more interested in how they did the younger versions of Bridges and Boxlietner. Thirteen was great!

With the snow falling like we lived in the North, we were limited in places to go. The movies were still open though and we managed to see two. Movie one was True Grit .  I was surprised it was as good as it was. I really liked the first one and didn't think this one could compare. It did quite nicely. Movie two was Voyage of the Dawn Treader . It was good too but a little long in places. The kid who played Eustace had him pegged!

Trying being the operative word. I pulled out some crocheting and queued up Anna and the King on Netflix and it keeps stopping - long stops. Glad I know the ending ;)

I watched the movie last night. Very good. Not as good as the real thing however which can be found here (part 1):

I said I was too tired, but thinking about it is not going to let me be. No particular order! These are the ones that I want to watch whenever they are on. This is the first movie outing I've had this summer thanks to the rigor of grad school. So I meet a friend for lunch and we go into a theater with a million and a half children in it and laugh through most of the movie. Cute, cute, cute!
