K-2nd graders read  The Dark.  K & 1st looked up the times for sun rise and sun set. 2nd grade drew maps of their homes and marked the location of light switches.

This week, K & 1st read The Snatchabook ,  then we worked on mapping the town in the story.

K-2nd graders read Sophie's Squash . The kinders played a SMART sorting game of fruits and vegetables. First grade identified seeds in various fruits and vegetables and second grade charted food into groups. Some of their groupings were very creative!

This week in K, 1st & 2nd grades, we read Creepy Carrots . Everyone made their own creepy carrot and we practiced moving around the library as creepily as possible! Don't forget to use the five finger rule when you find a book you like!
